Hi Jeanne Aldrich, The reason Second Class Saints by Matt Harris is not here is because it was published in 2024. In order to be eligible for a 2025 award, it needs to have been published in 2025.

We did not miss it. It was nominated in 2024. Here’s the voting page from last year: https://mainstreetplaza.com/2025/01/05/its-time-to-vote-for-the-2024-brodie-awards/

If you look on that page, you’ll see that there was a corresponding podcast that was also nominated. That podcast would have been nominated again this year except that it did not have a single episode posted in 2025, hence it was not eligible.

There was a discussion of the book that was posted in 2025, which did get nominated in the “Best Discussion of Mormonism and Marginalized Groups 2025” category above.
