God Is Dead: Happy Easter!

March 22, 2008March 22, 2008

To Lutherans Good Friday is the most important day of the year. I always regretted that Mormons do not properly celebrate Easter. Thank heavens for Johann Sebastian Bach whose Passions relate God’s suffering like no other. Good Friday is the day that God died and if there is a redeeming…

Here are a few more intriguing thoughts from The Cambridge Companion to Atheism. This first one is a simple refutation of the idea of an omnipotent god, The traditional problem for omnipotence is the paradox of the stone: Could God create a stone too heavy for him to lift? If…

How Mormon values gave me courage to leave

Wow, I now I know what to put under “willful ignorance” when I create my revolutionary Youtube-based Dictionary. Seriously, “if we’re all made of acid how come we don’t dissolve”. This guy must tremble in fear every time he has to through the produce section, terrified that at any moment the lemon may burst forth from it’s waxy shell and attack his skin with it’s evil acid.
I think I’m going to go have an abortion now, just for funsies.

Several million years for a monkey to turn into a man? Oh, yeah — monkeys don’t live several million years!

Ok, Ok, maybe these guys are too easy a target, but that line really made me laugh. 😉
