Get ready for the Brodie Awards!

chanson, November 22, 2022November 22, 2022

2022 is nearing its end, which means that awards season is coming up! Main Street Plaza has hosted the William Law X-Mormon of the Year and The Brodie Awards since 2009.

In case you’re not familiar with these awards — or maybe you are, but you’d like to know more about how they started — I’d like to direct your attention to this Mormon Happy Hour podcast that I did in 2018.

The part about Main Street Plaza and the awards starts 45 minutes into the podcast. But the first 45 minutes are also pretty fun — the host and I were discussing all of the changes Russel M. Nelson instituted when he first got promoted to “prophet”. Has his legacy improved since then? Or worsened?
