It’s time to vote for X-Mormon of the Year 2023!!!

chanson, December 27, 2023December 27, 2023

Before you vote on this, please be aware that the Brodie Awards nominations are still open and will continue to be open until at least Wednesday, January 3 (possibly until the weekend, depending on my schedule…).

I’ve already started consolidating the categories and adding my own nominations to make it easy for you to see which categories need nominations the most to be included in the voting phase — please add your nominations in the comments!!

Regarding X-Mormon of the Year, it was a pretty dry year for high-profile excommunications, wasn’t it? But we still have a number of great nominees — vote below!!!

Vote for X-Mormon of the Year 2023!

The polls will remain open until Wednesday, January 10th, Switzerland time. Here’s some more info on the candidates (with links):

  • Ryan Gosling (for his role as a TK smoothie!)
  • Jessi Hildebrandt (for speaking out about abuse)
  • Adam Steed (for exposing Jodi Hildenbrandt)
  • 21st Century Saints (for their campaign to have DBS checks in the church in the UK)
  • Lynn Packer (for investigative journalism on Tim Ballard)
  • Tim Ballard (for getting excommunicated in 2023)
  • Jon Huntsman (for his ongoing tithing lawsuit)
  • The September 6 (30th anniversary edition!)

Please note that any nominations that were for people who are primarily content creators (e.g. best podcaster) were moved to the Brodie Awards, linked above. This race is more for public figures and real-world activism and/or excommunication.

May the X-Mormon who made the biggest splash in 2023 win!!!
